Inter Miami superstar has made a shocking confession off the pitch — and it has nothing to do with football.
Despite conquering world football, Messi says his greatest mistake was not learning English when he was young.
“I had the time… and I wasted it,” the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner admitted. “I’ve sat with incredible personalities and couldn’t fully connect. I felt half ignorant.”
Now 38, Messi says the regret still stings, calling himself “an idiot” for missing the chance to prepare for life beyond football. Today, he drills the lesson into his children: education first, talent second.
