A Nigerian lady, Ese, has shared a horrifying experience she allegedly had when she witnessed an episode of the ‘’r@ping festival' that took place in her community in Delta state many years ago.
Ozoro which is a community in Delta state has been in the news for days now after videos of men sexu@lly ass@ulting young ladies in their community during what has been described as a ‘’r@ping festival' made the rounds on social media. The video has sparked public outrage with many calling for the arrest and prosecution of the men involved in the crime. Fifteen persons have so far been arrested in connection with the crime.
In a video she shared on social media, Ese recounted how her pastor's daughter allegedly had iron rod inserted in her private part by men who participated in the festival many years ago. According to her, this happened when she was still in secondary school.
‘’If you think you have seen the worst video from the Ozoro r@ping festival,. I can bet with my life you haven't. When I was still in secondary school when they did this festival, they inserted iron rod inside my pastor's daughter's private part, Not like she was outside. The men ran inside their house claiming they were pursuing a man who took a compound,. They ran inside our pastor's house, they saw the girl, took her outside and inserted rod in her private part, This was like eight or nine years ago.''
She said she knows the young lady but chose not to name her or the church because she believes the victim is still traumatized by the incident.
She mentioned that the rampaging men had attempted in the past to also sexu@lly ass@ult two of her sister's friends during the festival but met their match after her father, a retired military officer, chased them away.
She said that the festival happens without any prior notice to the public.
‘’This thing is diabolic. There is nothing the government will do other than for them to be on standby because they cannot cancel that tradition. They will never know when the festival will happen because it is usually done once in fifty or thirty years''
