Liverpool striker Alexander Isak is on track to return from his broken leg injury in April, according to manager Arne Slot.
The £125m signing fractured his left leg and sustained an ankle injury against Tottenham in December and has been undergoing rehabilitation. He started running this week and is expected to join team training at the end of March
Slot tempered expectations, saying: "When you are back with the group, that doesn't mean you're ready to play, let alone start a game of football... he's been out for months, and the last time he was out for months, it took him a while before he was the player we signed from Newcastle."
Isak has made 16 appearances, scoring three goals, since joining Liverpool from Newcastle. His return will be a significant boost to Liverpool's chances in the Champions League and Premier League.
