Super Eagles boss has broken his silence over his controversial new contract terms, insisting he is not blackmailing the — and definitely not plotting an exit.




After a leaked document revealed he wants his monthly pay raised from $50,000 to $130,000, rumours exploded that Chelle was ready to jump ship to or another African national team following Nigeria’s bronze medal at the .

But Chelle says the story has been twisted.

“I never threatened to leave. I am still Nigeria’s coach and still working on the next squad,” he said.
